They say all good things come to those who wait. And by the look of the new Townsville Yacht Club this is certainly true. Some may not recognise the name but be assured the Townsville hospitality is just the same.

The Club which has been trading and serving the boating community in North Queensland for sixty seven years is reinventing the meaning of top of the line amenities and infrastructure. Such was the interest in the venture that it was over-subscribed and fully funded 8 weeks after the release.

The revamp has been on the drawing board since 2001 and now with new fingers carrying 165 berths including regatta berths, and the soon to be upgraded toilet/laundry block, including 4 unisex ensuites, it's well and truly on the map as a destination or stop over.

All the new berths are available for short and long term. The Townsville Yacht Club prices are competitive with other eastern sea board marinas and there is a depreciating rate the longer you stay, and who wouldn't want to linger longer with the club situated within walking distance to Palmer Street restaurants and their alfresco dining, city heart mall, museums and pubs.
